Paul has over 30 years' experience in investment banking with particular emphasis on the resources and infrastructure sectors.  

 

He has provided strategic, commercial, financial structuring and negotiating advice and raised equity and debt funds for corporations and governments. This has included assisting large and smaller entities wishing to exploit valuable resources, markets or technologies.  Industries include base and precious metals, coal, iron ore, steel, alumina, aluminium, magnesium, oil and gas, roads, ports and power. In recent times, he has also undertaken groundbreaking, cost, benefit and distribution analyses on sea level rise impacts for state and local governments.

 

Prior to joining Origin in 2005, Paul was Director Corporate Finance, Westpac and Vice President Project Finance, Bankers Trust. Before entering investment banking, Paul was a financial analyst for Rio Tinto and an executive for CSR Limited.

 

Paul holds a B. Econ (Hons 1) from the University of Adelaide and accounting 1, 2 and 3 from the University of Queensland.
